INTERNATIONAL GREEK LANGUAGE AND CULTURE SCHOOL IN SANTORINI
After 22 years of teaching Greek as a foreign language, in Ikaria Island, Lesvos Island and Athens, the Hellenic Culture Centre is now organising, since 2014, the International Greek Language and Culture School in Santorini, one of the most beautiful islands with its emotive and evocative atmosphere. Our school is based in Megalochori, a traditional village with bright Cycladic colours.
A vivid group of people coming from all over the world speak and express themselves in Greek, they sing, they dance and they participate in the cultural life of the island urged by a deep motive for knowledge, respect and love for the Greek language and culture. The spirit of Greek tradition and the restlessness of modern Greece will come to life with sounds and words expressing universal and timeless values as conceived by the Greek feeling.

The Hellenic Culture Centre offers since 2009 online Greek Language Courses in all language levels (Α0, Α1, Α2, Β1, Β2, C1, C2) as well as special preparation courses for the Certificate of Attainment in Greek in all levels. All the language teachers at the Hellenic Culture Centre are certified and experienced in teaching Greek as a second and as a foreign language to adults and adolescents. They also have experience in online teaching and they are native speakers of Greek.
Courses are held through the online educational platform Moodle and the educational platform GLOSSA, where all relevant learning materials are uploaded (texts, exercises and activities for all language skills, library) as well as through synchronous Skype meetings, once or twice a week.
No special knowledge on technology is required, however a 15-min introductory session is offered for free, in order for the students to familiarize themselves with the use of the platform and Skype. Students are required to have a good internet connection and a headset with a microphone.
Before registering students have to do a grading test, in order for the tutors to check students’ language level and educational needs. Ask us to guide you to the test suitable for you.
